Reflections by Zorica at Conexus Tuition St Albans

Reflecting on 2022

2022 was the first full year since I have decided to move away from a full time teaching career to running my own tutoring business!

It is scary, the transition from the security of full time employment to the excitement of building your own business whilst working on something you are passionate about, scary but worth it when you see the effect you have on those you are helping.

The reason I went into teaching was my love and passion for helping others and as a teacher I was able to do that with so many students. Unfortunately, there was always a small group of students that despite all the interventions, carefully planned lessons, additional resources somehow still fell behind or were unable to reach their potential.

This is where my new venture and tuition came in!

I had a vision and the skills, and this led to establishing Conexus Tuition St Albans, but just like with any beginnings, it was difficult. It was and still is a steep learning curve, it is not simply the case of offering my services and all works out perfectly.

So, 2022 has seen its fair share of success and failure, but this is how we grow, this is how people learn to become better and stronger and in my case build something I can be proud of, because along the way I help the number of students to create their own successes.

Why I am looking to go into business with impostors

Imposter Syndrome – Shifting Your Mindset I understand the concept of ‘impostor syndrome’ and to be frank, the criteria applies to me on many levels. The Guilt of the Working Mum – how I have almost mastered the art of self-forgiveness

The Guilt Of Being A Working Parent I remember vividly my very first thought when I saw the positive reading on my pregnancy test… ‘Oh My God, I can’t believe it, not – ‘I am pregnant’ but ‘I drank loads of wine at the weekend!’ Boom and with one swoop, without any warning – it […]
